"This CD was sent to me by three peice outfit Columbia Drive (The demo shares the bands name) and was recorded this year. ""Figure This Out"" opens this three track CD and I'm immediately reminded of 90's band Elastica with it's bouncy,
ladette vibe. There's also more than a hint of Blondie in the vocal style and is none the worse for that.""Bring Me Back"" is musicaly rougher than the bouncy ""Figure This Out"" and veers more towards a rockier vibe even though the bass is still funking away and the vocal hasn't moved much from the cheeky ladette style described in the first track. It also has a nice chorus to contrast with the verse which rocks it up with distortion and rock beats. ""Always Alright"" concludes this demo with an Alannis Morrisette sound to it.
It sleazes it's way through the verse country style with the slightly melancholy Alannis vocal saddening the sound. This demo is reasonably well recorded and the playing is tight enough for the listener to get a good feel on what to expect live. Top effort "
