Katus - New Vinyl - Lost 45's - Drugdealer Cheerleader - 3 Miles High
BOM Night @The Arches - Barnsley
18/07/2006
"Katus originates from the Bristol area and is now based in Glossop. She played a set of sweet folk tinged finger picking songs with a warm voice and mellow bongos to back this minimum but quality sound. From Irish to eastern European vocals she opened BOM night to an appreciative audience.
New Vinyl are a bit more dirty and went down well with some good feedback from their passionate performance, we will be having them back, or maybe next years BOMfest.
Lost 45's from Leeds / Wakefield are a retro sounding band with a sound what takes you back more than 30 years. Great harmony and a real authentic sound the lads went down well and are getting a following in Barnsley.
Drugdealer Cheerleader are a London Based band who had just done a gig in Scotland and wondered if we could fit them on the bill. BOM said OK and the lads called in for a quick 30 minute set of Rock. Not my bag but tight enough for southerners ;)
3 Miles High headlined and played a tight gig of more mainstream tracks. Again not my bag but a tight band nonetheless. A steady BOM night, cant wait for BOMfest."
