BOMfest 2006 funding confirmed

"Barnsley Original Music collective have been supported by the Arts Council to present this years Outdoor music festival on 22nd July 2006.

More news will be at www.bomfest.com in the near future but until then rumours fly that Nik Turner (ex Hawkwind) will be playing and headliners will be no other than Senser.

The line up will also include unsigned talent during the day to promote the bands and the healthy music scene that Barnsley presently has developed. Dave Hancock (events manager) who is responsible for bringing these big names to Barnsley says ""Last years BOMfest was a great success and we have had so much good feedback from the people of the town and the local media that we had to try and keep up the momentum this year.

Nik Turner and Barnsley band Gaia made the contact and now he is up for playing BOMfest. Senser and I are in contractual talks as we speak and it is looking good for them also. Barnsley wont have seen a gig like this for a very long time. Be there. www.bomfest.com "
