Born Originally as a college music project in april 2000, 4 degree students at barnsley college decided to turn the band into a full time project. Within 12mths of constant gigging their manic mix of punk/rock/ska/swing/dub around the yorkshire area, Catch-it Kebabs secured support slots with top uk punk and ska acts such as Lightyear, King Prawn, The Toasters. 2 years on (2003), still going from strength to strength, the band were offered a distribution deal by DoTheDog music, a UK Based Independent Label. This sparked off the recording of their first album 'Skanking Sausages',several tour dates around UK and Norway, and appearances alongside such luminaries as Jerry Dammers (Specials), Pama International (including ex members from Specials, madness and Loafers), King Django, Rico Rodriguez, Bad Manners and the slackers.
Now entering their 6th year together (march 2006), there are plans being finalized for a release of a new EP 'return of the kebabulance' and countless more tour dates around the UK and Europe. The Future seems set for the 9 piece Ska Punkers to ride the front of the rising wave of punk and ska in the uk, and put a big Barnsley shaped boot in the way of those pesky Ordinary Boys.
