Hamerex was formed in August 2004 by Steve Blower. The band started gigging in 2005 and shortly followed with the Hamerex Demo 2005 in September. After recording their 2nd demo Hamerex found a replacement bassist from the departed Elliot Fleet and set out on a 2 week tour playing mainly around yorkshire with a date in Coventry and Hull. Shortly after the tour the band found themeselves without a bassist yet again then shortly after without a drummer as well. The band gained the services of Andy Firth and Claire Williams which was a big turning point for the band. Tom Parkin quit the band in January 2007 and the carried on as a 4 piece. Hamerex gained the services of Phil White on guitar in April and are currently set to record their debut E.P.
